Three Haiku by Chris Scott

Home

Empty chrysalis
Swaying through a late night storm
Here is safe and calm

Anacostia River

Son sketches egrets
I point at a blue heron
The white moon points back

The Nightmare

Peach swept down storm drain
A lush orchard beneath us
Branches we can’t reach
